Forest Cooperage Limited Warranty
Effective as of July 1, 2025
Overview
At Forest Cooperage, we build our products with care, using premium Western Red Cedar and high-quality mechanical components. This limited warranty outlines what is covered, for how long, and under what conditions. It reflects our values of craftsmanship, transparency, and customer support.
Warranty Coverage
1. Cedar Wood Components
- Residential Use: We warrant the structural integrity of all cedar wood components — including staves, floors, benches, hoops, and seats — for five (5) years from the date of delivery.
- Commercial, Hospitality, or Rental Use: The same wood components are warranted for three (3) years from the date of delivery.
Covered:
- Failure of staves or joinery due to manufacturing defects in the wood or workmanship
- Warping or twisting that materially affects product performance
Not Covered:
- Variations in grain, color, or tone
- Minor surface checking, hairline cracks, shrinkage, or cosmetic weathering
- Patina or aging due to exposure to sun, heat, water, or time
Important Note: Wood is a natural, living material. These aesthetic changes are expected and are part of the product's character.
2. Electrical & Mechanical Components
Forest Cooperage supplies heaters, pumps, chillers, lighting systems, and control panels sourced from trusted OEMs. These components are covered by the manufacturer's original warranty, which typically ranges from one to two years depending on the product.
We assist with processing warranty claims on your behalf, but final coverage decisions and replacement approval rest with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM, the company that built the component). Forest Cooperage is not financially responsible for components denied under OEM warranty terms.
Not Covered:
- Labor or installation costs
- Improper installation, misuse, or incompatible third-party equipment
Labor & On-Site Work
This warranty does not include on-site labor. We provide:
- Free remote support via phone, email, or video during our regular operating hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Standard Time)
- Clear installation and troubleshooting documentation
- Replacement parts shipped free of charge for approved claims
On-site service may be available for a fee and requires written pre-approval.
Storage & Installation Timing
Warranty coverage begins on the date of delivery, as confirmed by shipping records.
We recommend that all products be installed within 3 months of delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to store the product in a fully protected, dry, and ventilated environment until installation.
Improper storage — such as exposure to sunlight, moisture, direct ground contact, or trapped humidity — may void warranty coverage for any resulting damage, including warping, splitting, or weathering.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Improper assembly, installation, or any modification of the product not expressly approved by Forest Cooperage
- Damage from freezing, standing water, or chemical imbalance
- Use outside of intended residential or commercial environments
- Movement, settling, or instability of site foundations or pads
- Natural cosmetic changes (UV weathering, color changes, water stains)
- Products stored outdoors without full protection
Claim Process
Claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase and evidence of product registration (if applicable).
To initiate a claim:
- Email support@forestcooperage.com
- Include your order number, a clear description of the issue, and supporting photos
- We aim to review all claims and respond within 5 business days
If approved:
- Parts will be shipped at no cost
- Remote support will be provided to assist with resolution
Warranty Registration
To ensure your warranty coverage is active and to comply with liability requirements, all products must be registered within 30 days of delivery. Warranty registration can be completed by submitting your order number, contact details, and product information via email to support@forestcooperage.com or by using the registration form provided with your delivery.
Additional Terms
- Forest Cooperage reserves the right to make final decisions on warranty coverage, repair method, or product replacement at its sole discretion.
- Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable
- Warranty begins on the date of delivery, verified by shipping records
- Forest Cooperage may request that defective parts be returned for evaluation
