WC-01-S, two sides: the routine, the limits and the doses at a glance. Fill in the box at the top for your tub, keep it by the tub, and give a copy to any caretaker or pool service.

Who it is for
A Forest Cooperage cedar hot tub with a circulation pump and filter, used by one household. The manual covers electric, gas, heat pump and wood-fired heating, and tubs fitted with a ClearBlue ionizer or a Clear Comfort CCW25.
The routine runs on as little chlorine as the public-health floors allow: a 2 ppm minimum, the lowest British Columbia’s Pool Regulation and HealthLinkBC permit, with testing before every soak in place of a higher dose. The manual says where it sits against public guidance and why.
It is not written for a tub that is rented out, shared between households or offered to paying guests, for a wood-fired tub with no pump and filter, for a cold plunge, or for another maker’s tub. If that describes your tub, contact us before using the manual.
This replaces our earlier instructions
Revision A replaces every earlier water care instruction from Forest Cooperage, printed, emailed or online, including the use of brominating granules. If you have an older sheet, use this one instead. The revision letter is on the cover and in the footer of every page, so you can check that a printed copy is current.
Before you start
Read This First, the two pages at the front, sets out what the manual covers, where it differs from public health guidance, and who should use the higher chlorine level. The first fill is in Section 10; what to keep with the tub is in Appendix B.
Every dose depends on the volume of your tub. The volume is on your drawing or specification sheet; the online version has a pick-list of our tubs.
Keep the log. If you ever make a claim about the wood, it is the first thing we will ask for.
Use of this manual
This manual is written for the owner of a Forest Cooperage cedar hot tub as described in Read This First. It is based on the sources it names and on our experience with our own tubs, as of the date above. Follow the labels on the products you use and the manuals for your equipment. Where a label or manual allows less than this manual does, follow it unless this manual says otherwise; where this manual knowingly differs, it says so and gives the reason. Water conditions, fill water, use and equipment vary, and testing is the only way to know the state of your water. We are not responsible for the results of using this manual with another maker’s tub, outside its scope, or without the testing it calls for. Nothing in it changes the terms of your warranty.
